The detailed works are highly intricate and are at times so realistic one could almost reach out and touch them. This can be seen from a variety of pieces, perhaps the most notable being "The Prey" and "The Egyptian Queen" The lateral thinking/abstract (mind puzzle) works are, he says, inspired by his love of the "surrealist" movement. This play on themes, and the human minds scope for interpretation, enables him to bend the "normal" criteria when dealing with perspective and technique. He cites the works entitled "Things are not what they seem" and "The Winner" as examples of how the artist can take aesthetic licence to bend the rules. He says when he's exhibiting it's always a joy to have his audience held almost spellbound whilst playing with their interpretation of the work being discussed. All compositions on show are available to purchase as original pieces or as individually numbered, signed and dated limited edition framed prints.
